Camden, Union and the roads that feed them
Camden Avenue, Union Avenue, Highway 85 and Highway 17 are never far away, and most households here are used to short drives to shops and schools. A lot of cars means a lot of turning, which scuffs the surface at the places where wheels twist.
Neighborhood shopping lots usually have tight turns, single entrances and delivery areas behind buildings. Trash trucks, supplier vans and customer cars all use the same lanes. Over time, stalls near the building fade and cracks follow the paths of heaviest turning. Taking care of these early costs far less than rebuilding the entire lot.
